Visual Arts at Central Sydney
Our Visual Arts program is aligned with the Intensive English Program Curriculum Framework and references outcomes from the NSW curriculum. Students engage in practical art making while being introduced to the language of art theory and criticism.
FOUNDATION LEVEL:
Subject matter and techniques in visual art,
Materials and equipment, seasons, still life, portraits
PRELIMINARY LEVEL:
Places and Spaces – perspective, artist rooms, interior/exteriors, colour theory, drawing and painting
INTERMEDIATE LEVEL:
Lines, shapes and forms in art, the elements and principles of art, abstract art, symmetry and patterns in art, rangoli designs, natural and geometric designs
TRANSITION LEVEL:
Indigenous art, cultural frameworks of art. Subjective frameworks of art
